30 percent rise in Cambodian rubber export

The agriculture Ministry of Cambodia said on Sunday that the country has seen a rise of 30 percent in its rubber exports to reach 282,071 tons in 2019, rising from 217,501 tons registered in a year earlier 2018.

The yearly report by the Cambodian ministry said that the country saw a gross revenue of around USD377 million from rubber exports in the earlier year, representing a rise of 31.8 percent from USD286 million a year before.

The report said that "A ton of dry rubber averagely cost 1,336 U.S. dollars in 2019, about 19 U.S. dollars higher than that of 2018".

Cambodia mainly exports rubber to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.
