Tibet province of China sees its foreign trade bloom

Customs officials in Tibet region in China said on Tuesday that the region saw its foreign trade rise 2.6 percent to set at USD708 million in 2019.
Head of the Lhasa customs in the capital of the region, Liu Dali, said that the export volume of the region has went over USD540 million and the import volume hit USD160 million in the past year.
The official added that the border trade of the region made up 64.7 percent of the total foreign trade, representing a rise of 11.8 percent since 2018.
Private firms made up USD600 million of foreign trade, a rise of 60.3 percent since the year prior.
