He pointed out that when a hemophilia patient is bleeding, due to an injury or wound in his body, this bleeding takes a relatively longer time to stop compared to a healthy person, and the patient may experience internal bleeding, especially in the knee, ankle and elbows, which may lead to damage to the organs and tissues of the body.
Dr Abu Hejleh explained that despite the rare cases, hemophilia type (A) occurs in 1 out of 10,000, while hemophilia type (B), occurs in 1 out of 50,000.
The new clinic helps hemophilia patients benefit from treatment plans that are developed to suit the individual patient's condition. It also provides patients with high-quality health care services that include multiple medical specialties including orthopedics and physiotherapy, all in the same place.
