Somaliland: Non State Actors Discuss Stalled Somalia Talks with UN Envoy

(MENAFN- Somali Land Sun) Somalilandsun- The UN SRSG for Somaliland and Somalia Amb James Swan who is visiting Hargeisa the capital of Somaliland has held meetings with various stakeholders among them governmen t, political parties, and civil society organizations etc.

Among non state actors to meet with the UN envoy was the chairperson of the Centre for Policy Analysis-CPA Mohamed Hussein Jama aka Rambo.

The discussions between the CSO and Amb Swan touched on various issues most pertinent the resumption of the stalled and internationally sanctioned talks between Somaliland and Somalia.

Another issue touched on was reasons behind the UN's handover of Somaliland airspace management to Somalia contrary to the joint control agreement reached in Turkey.
