Private housing prices keep increasing in Germany

The institute for urban, regional and housing research (GEWOS) for the German news agency (DPA) released an evaluation on Monday showing that Germany saw the apartments and houses prices post continued rises in the third quarter of the earlier year of 2019.

The GEWOS evaluation said that the square meter prices stood at an average of USD2,273, freehold apartments prices in the country rose 8.2 percent in comparison with a year earlier.

GEWOS managing director Carolin Wandzik said to DPA that the private property prices saw their expansion rate undiminished for the third consecutive year.

The director said that "In the seven largest German cities, there is no sign of the momentum slowing down either".

The offer prices for apartments rose 9 percent in the year in Berlin Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf cities.
