4 villagers accused of witchcraft killed in Tanzania

An official said on Saturday that four villagers belonging to the same family were killed and their houses destroyed by angry villagers in western Tanzania after the family were suspected of being associated with witchcraft.
A pregnant woman was among the victims, according to a councillor for Msambara ward in Kasulu district in Kigoma region, Evans Buchonko.
The official said that a group of angry villagers have stormed houses of the victims at Friday afternoon and killed them using machetes as they suspected their involvement in witchcraft.
The official said that "The villagers also destroyed the victims' belongings before they demolished their houses and farms", telling the government to arrest the culprits and prosecute them.
