Over 550 kg of cannabis confiscated in Morocco's Saidia
(MENAFN) Moroccan security forces managed to confiscate a total of 555 kg of cannabis in the eastern city of Saidia and detained as many as five suspects, official television Aloula reported Sunday.
Aloula emphasized that the barred substance was hidden in 17 bags aboard three vehicles.
The detainees, aged between 26 and 41, were remanded in custody to for more legal procedure needed for the launched probe which is under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
Operations to detain the remaining suspects are still ongoing.
