Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to visit Qatar University

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Honourable Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (pictured), the Prime Minster of Malaysia, will visit Qatar University on Friday, (December 13, 2019) during his historical trip to Qatar. In this visit, Dr. Mahathir will deliver a speech on the strong and strategic bilateral relations between Qatar and Malaysia and will hold a dialogue with the guests.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia will be welcomed by Dr. Hassan bin Rashid Al Derham, Qatar University President, along with a number of members of the Board of Trustees, Vice-Presidents, Deans of Faculties, Qatar University students, faculty members, and interested members of the general community.

During the lecture, which will be held at Ibn Khaldun Hall at Qatar University, Dr. Al Derham will award an honorary doctorate to the Malaysian Prime Minister, The Honourable Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

This will mark the second honorary doctorate awarded by Qatar University after The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in December 2015.
