Pakistan- Missing minor girl ditched in well dies before reaching hospital


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MANSEHRA: A minor girl who was missing for four days in Mansehra was found in a deserted well in critical condition on Thursday and died before reaching hospital.

Two-year-old Jannat Bibi was missing for four days and the family members had also approached police for help. The kidnapper had ditched the child in an 80 feet deep deserted well and a passer-by heard her screams and informed local police. A police team soon reached the spot and pulled out the child who was unconscious and in critical condition. She was taken to King Abdullah Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said Jannat Bibi had gone missing when she was playing outside her home four days ago. A large number of local people gathered near the well when the girl was being pulled out. The body was handed over to the family after she was pronounced dead. Doctors at the hospital said the child was in the well for at least six hours in cold weather due to which she developed breathing and other complications.

Father of Jannat Bibi, Mohammad Nazakat told media persons that he has no enmity with anyone. He said he suspects that his daughter was kidnapped and then thrown into the well. He said there were no proper facilities at King Abudllah Hospital and his daughter did not get proper treatment. He alleged that there were no doctors at the local hospital in Draband when they took Jannat Bibi there and dispensers were unable to save her. He also alleged that the staff at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Oghi did not help him for post mortem of his daughter. He said he even did not get help at the District Headquarters Hospital.

The father of the victim child demanded the government to provide him justice.


Body found in North Waziristan

A bullet-riddled body was found in of Mir Ali tehsil in North Waziristan tribal district on Thursday.

Police said the local people saw a body on the roadside in Hassukhel village and informed the police. The body was taken to a hospital where it was ascertained that the victim belonged to Bannu district.
