12 detained after arranging to blow up mosque in Italy


(MENAFN) As said by Italian media, 12 people have been supposedly arranging an attack on a mosque in the Siena region in Colle Val d'Elsa in Siena, Tuscany, and have been detained in Italy.


Police found lots of guns, explosives, and Nazi symbols, after investigations and seeking operations of many houses in Colle Val d'Elsa, neighboring districts, and provinces; as the suspects were preparing to explode a pipeline which went under the mosque.


Democratic Party lawmaker Emanuele Fiano said in a statement that, the arsenal seized by the Police was "shocking", adding that, "we should all be careful about the rising hate atmosphere, which has reached a critical level."
