Man caught speeding at 248kmph in UAE, says there was an emergency
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Abu Dhabi Traffic Court has ordered a Gulf national to pay a fine of Dh20,000 for speeding at 248kmph.
The erring driver challenged the verdict before the higher court. In his plea, the defendant admitted to the serious traffic violation - claiming that he had to attend to an emergency.
He requested the court to pardon him and reduce the hefty fine ordered by the lower court.
The court adjourned the case to November 20, 2019, to issue a ruling.
