
Turkey holds Baghdadi son

ANKARA, Nov 7, (KUNA): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced arresting son of former leader of the so-called Islamic State (IS) Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.
Capturing the former leader's son is an important step for Turkey, after the arrest of Al-Baghdadi's wife and sister as well, Erdogan said in a press statement at the airport, before heading to Hungary for an official visit on Thursday. He added that they will transfer the family members to the deportation center, awaiting the Ministry of Justice's decision.
Meanwhile, Erdogan said Turkey prevented 76,000 people belonging to IS from entering the country and deported 7,550 others, while 1,149 members are jailed. Wednesday, Turkey announced arresting Al-Baghdadi's wife, days after arresting his sister in Azaz city north of Syria.
