Deals sealed between Iran, Turkmenistan
(MENAFN) Several memorandums of understanding were sealed by Iran with an aim to strengthen its bilateral relations and cooperation with Turkmenistan, mostly in the economic and trade spheres.
Reports confirmed Iran and Turkmenistan to be prioritizing closer relations in electricity, gas, road construction, transportation and transit.
While participating in the 15th joint Economic Commission, the two sides mulled over issues regarding cooperation in transportation, telecommunications, economy, trade, fuel, energy, industries and mines as well as ties in science and culture.
Volume of bilateral trade between the two countries stood at USD5 billion in the past decade, to indicate a decline in recent periods of time.
