1.2 million stimulant tablets confiscated in Myanmar

The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Friday that more than 1.28 million stimulant tablets with a value of more than USD1.7 million were confiscated in Sagaing region in Myanmar.

Anti-narcotic taskforce stopped a motorcycle and 87,750 stimulant tablets were discovered hidden in the toolbox of the motorcycle.

Over 1.19 million stimulant tablets were later seized from the house of the motorcyclist.

The driver has been charged under Myanmar's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
