New movie "Legend of Deification" to hit Chinese cinemas

"Legend of Deification," a Chinese animated movie that follows the story of Jiang Ziya, a mythological figure that shares the same god world with Nezha, its scheduled to hit the Chinese theaters on the 25th of January in 2020, according to the official Weibo account of the movie on Wednesday.

The movie goes by "Jiang Zi Ya" in Chinese, it's based on the story of a genius strategist from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) novel "Fengshen Yanyi," or "The Investiture of the Gods," the same book that inspired "Ne Zha," the Chinese animated.

According to the China Movie Data Information Network, "Ne Zha" has made total box office revenue of over USD690 million in China since its July 26 debut.

It came on the 2nd spot on the box office chart behind "Wolf Warrior 2".
