The prices of dairy products have increased for the 2nd consecutive trading in the previous 9 Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auctions on Wednesday.
The price index of the GDP added 2 percent from the last auction 2 weeks prior, the price stood at an average of USD3.303 per ton in comparison with USD3.255 two weeks ago. A total of 37,345 tons of products were sold, rising from 34,410 tons 2 weeks ago.
Whole milk powder increased 1.9 percent to USD3, 133 per ton.
New Zealand stock market dairy analysts Robert Gibson said that "Strengthening prices seems linked to fewer volumes sold, compared with the previous event".
