(MENAFN) On Friday, the Turkish National Defense Ministry stated in a statement that Turkey has managed to neutralize as many as 4 PKK terrorists as a part of air raid conducted in northern Iraq.
Turkish government frequently uses the term "neutralized" in statements to indicate that terrorists in question surrendered or were murdered or arrested.
The ministry emphasized on Twitter that the terrorists were neutralized in the Qandil region - where the terrorist group has its headquarters - in a joint operation by the Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) and Turkish security forces.
On May 27, Turkey launched Operation Claw against the PKK in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq. The continuing violent has neutralized scores of terrorists so far.
