Increase in Cambodia's rice export

An official report showed that 132,947 tons of milled rice have been exported from Cambodia to China in the starting 8 months of 2019, having a 54 percent rise from the same time frame of the previous year.
A report of the Secretariat of One Window Service for Rice Export showed that China remains the top buyer of Cambodian rice during the period.
The exports to China made up 39 percent of the total rice exports in Cambodia.
120,061 tons of rice was shipped from Cambodia to the European market, having a 47 percent decrease. The European Union (EU)'s market share for Cambodian rice had gone down from 52 percent to 35 percent.
