KABUL: At least 106 militants have been killed and 24 others wounded in multiple extensive military crackdowns conducted by the Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours, security officials said Tuesday.

Ministry of Defense
in a statement said the Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan
National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal conducted
joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Balkh, Ghor, Ghazni, Helmand,
Badakhshan, Baghlan, Nangarhar, Urzgan, Paktika, Paktia and Faryab provinces,
in which 106 militants, including six Daesh affiliates were killed and 24
others wounded.

In addition
to that Afghan forces arrested three militants, handing them over relevant
judicial organs for further investigations.

Afghan
National Defense and Security Forces shelled and bombed the enemies' positions
and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.

During these
operations, 46 insurgents were killed, one detained, eight motorbikes were
destroyed and some amount of weapons and ammunition were seized in Sholgara,
Chamtal and Balkh districts of Balkh province—14 insurgents killed and 24
motorbikes were destroyed in Sharak district Ghor—11 insurgents killed, one
vehicle and one motorbike were destroyed in Ab-Band and Qarabagh districts
Ghazni—10 insurgents killed, five were wounded, five fighting positions, four
motorbikes, some amount of weapons and ammunition were destroyed and 10 rounds
of IEDs were discovered and defused in an in Nahar Saraj district of Helmand.

Similarly, nine
insurgents were killed and one wounded in Karan-WA Manjan district of Badakhshan—six
insurgents were killed and eight others wounded in Nah-Reen district of Baghlan—six
Daesh loyalists were killed in Pachiragam district of Nangarhar—five insurgents
were killed and their hideout was destroyed in Shaid Ihsas district of Urzgan—five
insurgents were killed and three others were wounded in Barmal district of Paktika—three
insurgents were killed and two others wounded in Shirin Tagab district of
Faryab—two insurgents arrested, some amount of weapons and ammunition were
confiscated and three rounds of IEDs were discovered and defused in clearing
operation in Samkanay district of Paktia province.

In past 24
hours, 11 planed clearing operations, and 74 Special Forces operations
conducted in different provinces; also Afghan Air Forces conducted aerial
operations supporting Afghan National Army, including 32 strikes on enemy's
sanctuaries.
