Retail sales volume in Turkey decrease 1.2 percent


(MENAFN) On Monday, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) revealed a 1.2 percent decline in calendar-adjusted retail sales volume with constant prices in June 2019 compared to a year ago.

Data the statistical institute issued unveiled a 2.3 percent fall in automotive fuel sales during the sixth month of this year on annual basis.

According to statistics, sales of non-food products, excluding except automotive fuel, decreased by 1 percent with food, drinks and tobacco dropping 0.7 percent during the month.

TurkStat added: "in June, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 17.6%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 16.5%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 5.7%."
