Cambodian National Police said that 4 Cambodian immigration police officials died in a traffic crash in Kampot district on early Monday, according to Xinhua.
The police said on its website that the accident took place at 3:00 a.m. of local time when a highlander boarded by 5 immigration police officers collided into the back of a truck trailer carrying cement.
The police said that "Four immigration police officers were pronounced dead and one other was seriously injured in the accident".
The cause of the accident was said to be the darkness and no lights on the back of truck, the truck driver has fled the site of the accident.
