Qatar- Ministry of Culture takes part in youth meeting in Morocco

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNARabat: The Ministry of Culture and Sports is participating in the activities of the 31st edition of the International Youth Meeting, from August 1 to 10,  being hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco in Bouznika.

The event is attended by youth delegations from 7 countries. The youth meeting allows young people to learn about the cultures of the participating countries, instil team thinking spirit, exchange experiences and develop bridges of communication among youth.

Head of the youth development department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports Nasser Al Jabri told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that this is the first Qatari participation in this international meeting upon an invitation sent by the Kingdom of Morocco to the General Secretariat of the GCC member states.

He said that the meeting is an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the different cultures of the participants, adding that the delegation, which consists of four young people and the head of the delegation, will present during their participation in the cultural evenings a detail of the preparations of the State of Qatar to host the World Cup in 2022, as well as a brief on the most important events of ‘Doha - The Capital of Islamic Youth 2019', which are held under the motto 'The Youth is the Power of Nation, in addition to introducing participants to attention given by Qatar to youth to empower them.

The meeting includes a number of workshops and sports activities as well as organizing group competitions and cultural events besides visiting the most important historical and cultural attractions in Morocco.

Countries participating in the International Youth Meeting are Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Mali, Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.
