Tourist ship in Albania goes down in flames

Vlora district police said in a statement that a tourist ship went down in flames on Monday in Karaburun that falls in southwestern Albania, risking the lives of five crew mariners who dived into the water and were saved later.

The statement said that the ship indentified as Aquamarine was harbored close to Saint Vasil coastal area because of bad weather conditions.

The statement read the following "In the early hours of Monday, the ship burst into flames risking the life of the five crew members who were on board at the moment of the incident. Immediately after the notification, the naval Border Police came to the aid of the five crew members who jumped into the water after the ship caught fire".

The police said that the crew members are in good health, and that the ship has been completely damaged.
