The Immigration and Population Department stated on Sunday that 77 illegal Myanmar migrants have been deported from Thailand, according to Xinhua.

The refugees were sent back by Thai authorities by Kawthoung border gate in southern Tanintharyi district.

They were apprehended by Thai authorities after it was discovered that they didn't have job license and had invalid border passes.

The department said that the refugees were deported back to their homeland, provided with healthcare.

488 illegal Myanmar refugees including women and children were deported back to Myanmar from January until March of 2019, the department said.
