Oman- MRMWR completes road projects in South Sharqiyah

The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) is continuing its efforts to develop the municipal and water services. It has implemented a number of development projects in South Sharqiyah in the first half of this year.

MRMWR is also improving the performance of its human cadres to keep pace with the requirements of comprehensive development and to switch to electronic services in various areas of municipal and water work.

The most important projects that have been implemented are the completion of internal road paving projects in South Sharqiyah. In addition, it has also established paved parking slots with a total area of 15,000sq m.

In Jalaan Bani Bu Ali, MRMWR paved roads with a total length of 71km in addition to parking lots with a total area of 20,000sq m.

In Jalaan Bani Bu Hassan, internal roads were paved in various locations with a total length of 68km and parking spaces with an area of 15,000sq m.

In the wilayat of Al Kamil W'Al Wafi, pavement of roads with a total length of 51km and parking slots with a total area of 15,330sq m is under way.

The ministry represented by the Directorate General of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources in South Sharqiyah governorate is also completing its services and beautification projects in Sur in cooperation with the private sector. These projects include the construction of three playgrounds for children with the support of Oman LNG.

The directorate also carried out vital projects such as the supply and installation of modern irrigation system for trees in public areas in Jalaan Bani Hassan. It is also working on projects to install water and sewage pipes.
