S. Sudan business climate improves

(MENAFN) South Sudan was able to achieve a significant rebound in its business environment as a result of the peace agreement that warring parties reached.

Executing the revitalized peace agreement allowed for the business climate in South Sudan to be reinforced, lifting up investor confidence.

"The (business) climate has jumped," assured secretary general for South Sudan Investment Authority, Abraham Maliet Mamer.

"I can claim that the investment climate and investor confidence has been boosted up to 70 percent, the reason that has made it jump security," the official affirmed.

Maliet further added: "they (investors) are now asking about if I invest in South Sudan what are the guarantees on my return, what packages, incentives do I get."
