Sri Lanka- PM appoints committee to probe statement on monks by Ranjan
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed a three-member committee to investigate a statement made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake against some monks.
The Prime Minister's Office said that the committee will investigate the statement made by Ramanayake and a video he had published on social media.
The three-member Ministerial committee will investigate the claims made by the State Minister and recommend appropriate action.
The committee is to be headed by Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana and includes Ministers Ranjith Maduma Bandara and Malik Samarawickrama.
