Turkey: police confiscate nearly 150 kg of heroin in Van


(MENAFN) On Thursday, Turkish forces managed to confiscate at least 152 kilograms (335 pounds) of heroin in the eastern Van province.

Local police department affirmed in a statement that anti-drug police conducted a raid against unlawful drug trafficking in the Ipekyolu district.

Police managed to confiscate heroin packed in 300 bundles inside 10 boxes in a vehicle during the operation.

The driver who identified by the initials O.K., was detained over suspected drug smuggling.
