Oman- Alizz Islamic Bank supports Nusuk event on hajj rituals

Alizz Islamic Bank was the exclusive banking sponsor of the sixth Nusuk event 1440H, which educates people on hajj rituals and is organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs represented by the Religious Guidance Department.

The event was held at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, under the patronage of H E Sayyid Salim bin Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Development in the Ministry of Civil Service, in the presence of a number of officials.

The annual Nusuk event aims to provide technical guidance and explanations to Omani and expatriate pilgrims, who are planning to go for hajj this year. It also aimed to guide pilgrims as to what they must do in terms of moral, physical and practical aspects during hajj. Through this event The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs aims to promote the awareness about correct customs to be performed during the religious ritual.

The sixth Nusuk event included an exhibition, a series of lectures and distribution of brochures and pamphlets with guidelines to embody the hajj ritual step by step. The objective was to ensure more interaction and benefit by clarifying doubts about the pilgrimage and its provisions.

The programmes also focused on what the pilgrims needs to know before start of his/her trip to hajj. It also highlighted the conduct that pilgrims should be attentive about while performing their worships.

The exhibition which was a part of Nusuk event, consisted of a number of hajj essentials, namely the pre-ascetic performances, and what pilgrims should be aware of in terms of the provisions of travel, how to practice 'Ihram' performance by clarifying the temporal and spatial times, and the types of hajj, its desirability and prohibitions.

The awareness sessions highlighted the importance of maintaining good health, the pilgrims' health needs and required procedures that must be considered before starting the hajj trip and during the hajj period as well.

Commenting on the banks supports for pilgrims, Murtadha Jawad al Lawati - AGM – Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, Alizz Islamic Bank said, 'Hajj is one of the five fundamental pillars of Islam which the Almighty Allah has imposed upon every Muslim to undertake once in his/her life. We spared no effort in being the exclusive banking partner of the awareness session for this important religious event.'
