Greece eyes Turkey for stronger relations


(MENAFN) Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis voiced hopes for bilateral ties and cooperation with Turkey to be reinforced through "brave steps."

Addressing the Parliament's General Assembly, the prime minister emphasized: "I call on [Turkish President Recep] Tayyip Erdogan for a mutual approach in which we will take brave steps."

Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed his wishes for steps to be taken in line with international laws along with avoiding "aggressive rhetoric."

"We are living together in this geography. Unnecessary tensions and arms race deprive both countries of valuable resources," the newly elected prime minister noted.
