Deadly clashes in southern Iran


(MENAFN) Official IRNA news agency reported that, at least two Iranian border guards died on Sunday in conflicts with the militants in the southeast of the country.


IRNA said that, the conflicts in the city of Saravan of Sistan and Baluchestan region bordering Pakistan caused the death of two soldiers of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and wounded two others.


The southeastern region of Iran has been the scene of deadly clashes over the past years between the Iranian security forces and the armed groups of the minority Baluch Sunni people.
