New ambassador of Slovenia begins diplomatic mission in Ukraine

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena Zerkal received copies of credentials from the newly appointed ambassador of Slovenia to Ukraine Mr. Tomaz Mencin.

During the meeting, both sides noted positive dynamics of bilateral contacts and expressed mutual interest in further deepening of the Ukrainian-Slovenian cooperation, in particular, in the trade and economic sector, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported.

Zerkal expressed gratitude to Slovenia for the support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, i.a. while working together in international organizations.

The ambassador noted Slovenia's readiness to provide practical assistance to Ukraine in implementing systemic reforms, particularly in decentralization.
