Oman- PACI to launch 33 vocational training courses

To increase the efficiency of artisans in handicraft industries and maintain the profession, the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI) is launching 33 vocational training programmes in various governorates of the sultanate.

PACI calls on craftsmen to take part in the programme which will benefit them and develop the industry.

The programme includes training the participants in various crafts such as wood, brass, silver, wool, leather, etc. The programme is called 'Craftsmanship 2019'.

The programme will cover all 11 governorates of the sultanate - Muscat, Dhofar, Buraimi, North and South Batinah, Dhahirah, Dakhliyah, North and South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Musandam.

PACI has set some conditions for participation in the programme. The participant must be Omani and have the desire to participate and work in this profession even after the end of the programme.

PACI also will give each participant a certificate after completion of the programme and an identity card for practising the profession.

To take part in the training programme, interested parties should register at PACI offices in the governorates before Thursday.
