(MENAFN - Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok):Afghanistan 's products have gone on display at the first-ever joint trade fair with Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Industries and Commerce (MoIC) said on Wednesday.
Acting Commerce Minsiter Ajmal Ahmady thanked the government of Uzbekistan for dynamic economic ties with Afghanistan and the warm welcome he received during his visit to Tashkent.
The first-ever joint trade show was inaugurated in Tashkent, where the two sides agreed to boost trade and economic cooperation.
The MoIC facilitated 72 Afghan traders to showcase dry fruits, saffron, marble, carpets and other products. The ministry prepared 65 booths - 40% of booths owned by Afghanwomen
'It was a great pleasure addressing the 2nd session of the Afghan-Uzbek Public Private Dialogue (PPD). Both sides have already communicated their MFN tariff rates and will soon conclude a draft inter-governmental agreement on air services,' he tweeted.
'In the business trip to#Uzbekistan , I also met Afghan traders in the country and heard their trade-related problems. We will provide broader facilities for our traders to lead to enhancement of#Afghanistan 's export volume to Uzbekistan,' he wrote.
