(MENAFN) Captain Barat Ali said that, 1,107 Afghan youth were commissioned to the national army on Wednesday, after completion of a 12-week training course and receiving certifies head of public relations office of the Kabul Military Training Center.
Youths from now on would be placed elsewhere in the country to serve the country as Ali said when he was talking to reporters after giving out the certificates to the soldiers.
According to the official, through the 12-month training course, the use of a variety of weapons including attack rifles, mortars with war tactics were trained to the youths.
Afghanistan, a country dogged by militant groups, has 350,000 strong security forces as well as army and police to make sure lasting peace in the militancy-battered country.
