Botswana, China ink cooperation deal

(MENAFN) Botswana penned an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation with China along with granting each other Letters on the Feasibility Study for a couple of road initiatives.

According to China's Ambassador to Botswana Zhao Yanbo, the two countries stepped up their efforts to execute the agreements that their presidents sealed.

China and Botswana were also confirmed to have joined hands on various projects that cover infrastructure, health care and people-to-people exchanges.

Yanbo assured that the projects "demonstrated the time-honored friendship between the two countries and China's firm commitment to supporting the economic and social development of Botswana. The two governments would work closely to explore and target the specific areas and projects under the Eight Major Initiatives of the FOCAC Beijing Summit."
