37 percent jump in Iranian exports to Iraq


(MENAFN) Iran registered a 37 percent boost in its exports to Iraq, standing at USD13 billion during the last Iranian year ending March.

Head of Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce Yahya Al Eshaq revealed that the Iranian private sector delivered technical and engineering services to Iraq to account for the majority of exports.

According to the chief, Iranian contractors were able to snatch over USD4 billion worth of construction and industry initiatives in Iraq.

Eshaq assured that the two countries have the capacity to reach the targeted USD20 billion of Iranian exports to Iraq.

He also highlighted "some extraordinary areas of cooperation" between Iran and Iraq.
