Sri Lanka- Case filed against former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) A case was filed against former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage at the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar today.
The case was filed by the Bribery Commission accusing Aluthgamage and former Sathosa Chairman Nalin Fernando of causing a financial loss to the Government amounting to Rs 53 million.
They were accused of causing the financial loss by importing Carrom boards and checkers boards to be distributed to sports clubs during the last Presidential Election.
