(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, June 21, 2019, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that certainly no one wants war, whatever its causes and the consequences of the war is usually disastrous for all parties.
The paper noted that if the war breakes out in a region such as Arabian Gulf which seen as vital to the whole world and the GCC countries topped the world oil reserves with a total of 497 billion barrels will have a negative impact on world energy markets.
The paper added that the international community seeks to avoid any conflict in the region, while Iran is seeking to escalate the events in the region without taking into accounts their consequences and its latest serious escalation was downing of a US drone.
