SriLankan Airlines crowned world's most punctual
(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: An aviation portal flightstats.com has named SriLankan Airlines the world's most punctual airline with 90.75 per cent of its flights arriving on time in May.
According to the portal, this is the second time in less than 12 months that the carrier has achieved such a milestone, having also winning the world's number one spot in September 2018 with a punctuality rating of 91.37 per cent.
The airline mentioned that the win was a challenging achievement given heightened security at is hub – Colombo airport.
To determine the ranks, Flightstats.com had tracked 78 per cent of 3,282 flights operated by SriLankan Airlines.
In the list, Singapore Airlines is in 8th position with 7,987 flights while Emirates is in 10th with 12,615 flights.
