Ukraine in OSCE: 'Harvest ceasefire' will show Russia's readiness to reduce tensions in Donbas
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna Ihor Prokopchuk said this at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"The litmus test for Russia's readiness to deescalate tensions in Donbas will be its consent to upholding the so-called 'harvest ceasefire to be agreed in the TCG meetings at the initiative of the Ukrainian side," Prokopchuk said.
The diplomat stressed that Ukraine remained committed to the peaceful settlement of the conflict caused by the Russian aggression, including in the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group.
"We expect the same from the other party to the conflict, the Russian Federation. Itmust finally move from unfounded allegations and denials of its responsibility to implementation of its own commitments starting from ceasefire, disengagement, withdrawal of troops, and demining," Prokopchuk noted.
