(MENAFN) A ministry's spokesman declared that over one police officer and 10 attackers have died in an attack on the compound of the Afghan Interior Ministry.
Najib Danish confirmed: "The initial intel found that one police personnel and 10 assailants were killed after gunmen launched a coordinated attack on the interior ministry's main office at around noon local time,".
"We heard a huge blast at the first gate of the ministry which is located near Charahi Shaheed Square,", according to stander- by Farhad Mohammadi.
He added: "But the militants failed to reach the main building which is at the center of big open yard with high-profile security system,"
