LOS ANGELES - May 28, 2019 -PRLog-- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to welcome Inter City Soccer Club as a new league member for the 2019 Spring Season.
Based in El Paso (Texas), Inter City SC plays in the UPSL Pro Premier Southwest Conference, and currently hosts its UPSL home games at Andress High School (5400 Sun Valley Dr., El Paso, TX 79924) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.
Inter City SC travels to play MSC United on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Red Mountain High School (7301 E. Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85207). Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. PT. Tickets and parking are free.
United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "Inter City SC has risen from FC Dallas El Paso, and we're excited to welcome them into the UPSL Southwest Conference. Miguel Murillo is among the most respected soccer men in all of West Texas, and he's committed to a style honed from years playing professionally in Mexico. We think this is a great move at a good time for FC Dallas El Paso. We wish Inter City SC continued success in 2019 and beyond."
Miguel Murillo is President of Inter City SC. Murillo, who debuted for Club America before embarking on lengthy pro career, also is the Director of Coaching for FC Dallas (MLS) Academy in El Paso.
Robert Tucker currently serves as Head Coach of Inter City SC. Tucker had a storied playing career in El Paso, first as a member of University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP)'s historic club soccer national championship, then as a player for now-defunct El Paso Patriots.
Gabriel Carreno, 25, is Captain of Inter City SC. A native of El Paso, Carreno is a collegiate soccer coach.
Inter City SC Captain Gabriel Carreno said, "The structure of our roster is guys who want to play in front of their families (and) train under intense and competitive conditions. These are all collegiate-level athletes who haven't had the opportunity to play at home because there wasn't the opportunity or the platform. Now our roster consists of former (NCAA) athletes who are ready to be a part of the first, best opportunity to play at a high level at home."
Inter City SC (3-0-2 overall) opened its inaugural UPSL Southwest Conference campaign by splitting its first two games against local rival Southwest FC. The club recently defeated Tapatio FC, 2-1, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, and has taken nine points from its first five games.

United Premier Soccer League
The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 400-plus teams targeted for 2019 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.
UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
