Kuwait- Iranian official embarks on Gulf tour Sun.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, May 25 (KUNA) -- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will start a tour of three Gulf states tomorrow Sunday to assess the accelerated developments in the region.
The tour, which will take Araghchi to Oman, Kuwait and Qatar, falls in the framework of political consultation between the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its peers in the region, Fars News Agency (FNA) reported on Saturday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Baghdad earlier today for talks with senior Iraqi officials amid press reports of Iraqi mediation between Tehran and Washington.
Tensions soared between Iran and the US last year after the latter quitted from nuclear deal between the P5+1 and Iran and toughened the economic sanctions on Iran. (end)
