Nationwide strike erupts in Lebanon
(MENAFN) A massive strike erupted in Lebanon by employees of the public sector as they raised alarm over wage slashes in this year's state budget.
National News Agency reported that the nationwide strike was joined by public and few private schools around Lebanon and its municipalities.
Public sector workers in several administrations and port of Beirut also contributed in the strike, the report affirmed.
More than 500 state workers as well as public and private school teachers all got together at a point in Nabatieh in order to head for the capital to take part in a demonstration.
