Turkey, Greece enter talks on Aegean Sea issues

(MENAFN) Defense officials from Turkey and Greece are scheduled to enter negotiations, starting Monday until May 25, to address concerns on the Aegean Sea in Athens.

In a statement, the Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed: "the Technical meeting between the delegations of the Turkish and Greek Ministries of National Defence, to enhance the cooperation especially in Confidence Building Measures and Code of Conduct in the Aegean Sea, will be held in Athens on 20-25 May 2019."

Security forces of Turkey issued video on Saturday, with a Greek assault ship distressing a Turkish corvette while military drills were underway.

Both countries are suffering from conflicts related to the Aegean Sea, with the length of territorial waters, airspace and continental shelf among those issues.
