Iraqi forces kill 6 IS militants in Salahudin during security operation

(MENAFN) At least six Daesh terrorists were murdered in a security operation in northern Iraq, according to the country's defense ministry on Saturday.

The ministry emphasized in a statement that military forces attacked two assumed terrorists' hideouts in Saladin, north of Baghdad, upon an intelligence tip-off.

The ministry emphasized that the forces managed to confiscate three explosive belts and six devices during the raid.

During the mid of 2014, Daesh terrorists invaded approximately one third of Iraq, and Mosul was one of the invaded cities as well.
