Displaced people in Iraq granted WHO medical aid
(MENAFN) The World Health Organization (WHO) is sending healthcare assistance to benefit more than 8,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in camps and villages located in Sulaymaniyah, an Iraqi northeastern province.
WHO, the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) confirmed, wil be providing the health services using mobile medical crews.
In a statement, UNAMI affirmed that "WHO established two mobile medical teams, each consisting of a medical doctor, a nurse and a pharmacy assistant."
It further added: "WHO also provided three ambulances to facilitate referrals of emergency patients."
