Many among the audience went
LIVE using advance media technology, a distant viewer and the father of one of
the star singer, Luis Mesquita from Candolim – Goa, mentioned in his comment to
Dominic Araujo, 'you picked the cream of 'Goencho Avaz'. This was an
opportunity for the young talented singers to showcase themselves. And you and
this organizing committee gave them a chance to do that in Kuwait. Many doors
will open for all of the graceful singers to perform internationally in the
near future'.
Julio Cardozo, a legend
and a multi-talented personality, the best critic too, updated his status on
facebook, 'Let me emphasize in the very beginning of this little post…. Konkani
music is alive and kicking and the next generation is
ensuring that all is not lost…., I was a little apprehensive wondering
if a musical in Kuwait without the usual so called popular super stars of the
Konkani stage would succeed…. And boy, am I glad I was so wrong!!!' he
lamented. 'If I was forced to find one tiny fault, it would be the length of
the show. Maybe it should have only included the overseas artistes, with no
dis-respect to the locals who performed extremely well too. Having said that….
We enjoyed every bit of it' he concluded. Dominic Araujo, a devote to Goan culture &
mother tongue Konkani language, and a strong supporter of 'Goencho Avaz' updated
his status on facebook, 'Over the years many shows were held in this part of
the world… but nothing like "Goencho Avaz"… personally huge
respect to you all', Mr. Araujo's earlier facebook post soon after the show, it
was in Konkani language, he said 'there were no kings, nor queens, only the
pleasant music and melodious voices'.
