Algerian army kills 2 terrorists in Boumerdes
(MENAFN) On Saturday, the Algerian army murdered two terrorists in the northern province of Boumerdes, 55 km east of the capital Algiers, the defense ministry stated.
The ministry statement emphasized, "As part of the fight against terrorism and following a search operation near the locality of Dellys ... an army unit killed two dangerous terrorists, and retrieved a Kalashnikov-type machine gun, two magazines and a grenade".
The security situation in Algeria has remarkably improved in the last ten years, but fights between security forces and terrorist groups are still reported from time to time.
